Film Projects

Here is a collection of all the film projects I have been fortunate enough to work on. I have had several roles on different sets throughout the years. I am an award winning director and cinematographer. Although I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty with below the line roles, I specialize in story telling through directing and behind the lens as a cinematographer.

Loyalty Lies with the Dead | Writer - Director - Producer

Loyalty Lies with the Dead is a Walking Dead fan film I wrote, produced and directed as part of my senior innovation project for my undergraduate digital video degree at the University of Advancing Technology. This is the largest and longest project I’ve put together as a film maker as well as my first real experience diving into a comprehensive directing role. The film began it’s inception in early 2015 and took just over 2 years to complete. It featured innovative cost effective “Hollywood” style practical special effects makeup enhanced with digital visual effects. The film also incorporated advanced visual effects compositing with 3D models, gunfire and even a complete environment replacement for an entire scene. This environment was created with composited panoramic images of the principle scene location and nearly 150 feet of green screen wall flats which were painted and then assembled in the dirt lot adjacent to the school. The film was awarded “Best in Show” at it’s presentation during the student innovation project fair.

Reconcile | Key Grip - B Camera Operator

Reconcile is an award-winning short film and the most recent film I’ve worked on. Due to Covid guidelines and restrictions, we created this film with a very small production crew and cast. With the limited cast, we all teamed together and took on multiple roles to make the production happen. I helped with location scouting, lighting, rigging, gripping, assistant camera and the second camera operator roles. This film was completed in 2021 and released publicly in 2022 after its stint in the film festival circuit. Reconcile received several awards and accolades in the film festival circuit and screened all across the United States.

Limelight | Director of Photography

Limelight is the first film I had the opportunity to have the director of photography role on. The film follows the inner mind of a struggling performance artist who reflects back to conversations of an old friend for inspiration. We produced this film in just 48 hours as part of the 2016 IFP 48 hour film challenge. The film gained several awards and accolades throughout it’s journey in the film festival circuit.

Reality Check | Director

Reality Check is the very first short film that I ever directed. It is a situational science fiction horror film based around the advances of VR gaming technology. This film was created in just 48 hours as part of an inner-college film challenge. It was awarded several accolades in the film festival circuit including “Best Technical”.

Up Route | Story Writer

Up Route was the very first film I got the opportunity to work on. I helped write the script dialogue and develop some of the story elements and call out references in the film. I was actually slated to co-direct this film but had to sit out as I became ill right before the shoot. This film was also produced in just 48 hours as part of a 48 hour film challenge. It won awards and recognition across the globe in the film festival circuit. Most notably this film was featured on the El Rey Network.
